Each meal plan is personally assembled and built by Cory Warren, aka Lean Green DAD. Each week Cory manually pairs dinners together to give parents the variety and simplicity they want in a healthy, plant-based meal plan.

Are your meal plans allergy-friendly?2020-05-08T12:45:36-04:00

While we love and respect anyone that has a food allergy, the only guarantee that we have in our meal plans is that they are plant-based and/or vegan. If you have a gluten, nut or soy allergy, we highly recommend you work with a licensed dietitian before starting.

How many people does each recipe serve?2020-05-08T12:45:43-04:00

We aim to feed a family of four with each of our recipes. Although some recipes make bigger portions than others, you can typically feed two adults and two children under the age of 10 with each of our dinners. Of course, there’s always some great leftovers for the larger portion dinners!

Are the recipes kid-friendly?2020-05-08T12:45:49-04:00

Every one of our meals have been kid-tested with Cory’s three kids. In addition, there have been several other families that have tested the recipes before we brought them to you. The recipes are built to be familiar to kids and families, but often time be much healthier, plant-based alternatives. While most kids love them, it would not be fair to say that every single kid will love every single meal. All we can do is continue to introduce new foods to our kids!

We are totally down with using the word vegan or plant-based, but we lean a bit more towards the word plant-based because it seems a bit more inclusive to everyone. We want to make sure that anyone looking to incorporate more plant-based food into their life feels welcomed.

Do you use “fake” meats or soy in your recipes?2020-05-29T16:49:38-04:00

Our plans are designed to help anyone looking to transition to a plant-based diet. We have three phases. Phase one is designed for folks just starting out that happen to love meat before they get started. Phase two gets rid of fake meats and asks you to start watching your oil intake. Phase three is a 100% whole-food, plant-based diet. While some of our recipes may contain “fake” meats, each of them can be adjusted by simply removing them from the recipe. Each meal plan contains recipes in phase one, two and three.

To all my 100% whole-food, plant-based families. As you know, our family is a plant-based family, but we are not 100% whole food plant-based. I am probably 95% myself. My goal with this meal plan is to help families that are looking to incorporate more plant-based foods into their lives. Although our family believes that being 100% WFPB is the best way to live, I feel that I will only reach a small amount of families with this mindset, so I have chosen to include some alternatives for folks who might not be willing or able to make the full WFPB commitment. You can imagine how hard it would be for a parent driving through the McDonald’s fast food window to all of a sudden be told they should not eat meat, oil, cheese or processed foods. But again, I fully understand and am 100% on your side. That’s why the three phases exist.
